Logan Levesque Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Levesque backstopped the Bears to a 1-1 week including a 2-1 MASCAC victory over Framingham State University. The Bristol, Rhode Island product posted a 1.50 goal against average and a .786 save percentage on the week and made 11 saves in a 2-0 setback to regional power Brandeis University.

In six games this season, Levesque is 5-1 with three shutouts. She has also recorded 26 saves and an .867 save percentage to go along with a 0.67 goal against average in 540 minutes of action.

Levesque, who also earned the honor on September 12th, currently leads the MASCAC in both wins and shutouts, and ranks second in goals against average and save percentage.

This marks the third straight week that the Bears have picked up the MASCAC Rookie of the Week accolade. Midfielder Makenna Lessard (East Bridgewater, Mass.) garnered the honor on September 19th.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 5-2-1 on the season and 2-0 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Roger Williams University on Wednesday evening for a seven o'clock game with the Hawks.
