BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University senior forward Michelle Belcher has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Belcher tallied a goal and three assists for five points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears. The Norton, Massachusetts product potted the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 3-0 victory over UMass Dartmouth. She also assisted on both goals, including the game-winner, in a 2-1 MASCAC win over Worcester State University. 

In 12 games this season, Belcher has recorded nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. She currently leads the MASCAC in both assists and game-winning goals (4), and ranks second among the conference leaders in goals and scoring.

In 30 games over two seasons with the Bears, Belcher has amassed 20 goals and 15 assists for 55 points. Nine of her 20 markers have been game-winners.

Belcher currently ranks tenth among the Bears' all-time scoring leaders with her 55 points.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 8-2-2 on the season and 3-0-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Tufts University on Wednesday afternoon for a five o'clock game with the nationally ranked (#18) Jumbos.
