BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University senior forward Michelle Belcher has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Belcher tallied four goals, including a pair of game-winners, to go along with three assists for 11 points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears. The Norton, Massachusetts product notched two goals and an assist in a 6-0 MASCAC victory over Salem State University, and added two goals and two assists in a 6-1 non-conference win over Salve Regina University.

In six games this season, Belcher has recorded six goals and four assists for 16 points.

Belcher currently leads the MASCAC in both assists and game-winning goals (3), and is tied for the conference lead in scoring. She also ranks second in goals.

In 24 games over two seasons with the Bears, Belcher has amassed 17 goals and ten assists for 44 points. Eight of her 17 markers have been game-winners.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 4-1-1 on the season and 1-0 in the MASCAC. The Bears entertain Brandeis University on Tuesday night at seven o'clock.
