BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman 125-pounder Dylan Nuttall has been selected to the 2015-2016 New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) All-Rookie Team.

In 34 bouts during his freshman campaign, Nuttall produced a record of 24-10 (.706). The Levittown, Pennsylvania native also notched seven pins, 60 takedowns, ten near falls, three reversals and 31 escapes.

Nuttall's 24 wins are the most by a BSU freshman since former standout grappler and current head coach Frank Cammisa recorded a program rookie record 35 victories during the 2006-2007 season.

Among his season highlights, Nuttall placed second at both the Roger Williams Invitational and the Jim Aguiar Invitational, fourth at the Doug Parker Invitational and fifth at the prestigious Messiah Petrofes Invitational.

At the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships, Nuttall went 2-2 out of the 125-pound weight class with his two setbacks coming against the top two seeded wrestlers including the eventual champion.

Nuttall was also named as an honorable mention on the All-NEWA Team.
