GRANTHAM, Pa. -- Freshman Dylan Nuttall (Levittown, Pa.) placed fifth in the 125-pound weight class to lead the Bridgewater State University wrestling team at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational.

Nuttall went 6-2 during the two-day tournament as he was the Bears' lone place-winner. On Saturday, he pinned Trent Gill of Mount Union before dropping a 13-7 decision to Tristan Bean of West Virginia Tech. Nuttall wrapped up the tournament with a 10-9 decision over Lenny Ogozalek of Gettysburg in the fifth place match.

In 22 bouts this season, Nuttall is 16-6 (.727) with four pins.

The Bears finished 11th in the team standings with 23.5 points. Host Messiah (186.5 pts.) captured the team title followed by Stevens Tech. (133.0 pts.) in second place and Mount Union (116.5 pts.) in third.

The BSU wrestling team is off until after the New Year when they host Plymouth State University on January 8th at 6:00 PM.
