BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The 11th-seeded Bridgewater State University wrestling team dropped a 43-6 decision to #6 WPI in the opening round of the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Headlock for Hunger Dual Meet  Tournament on Sunday at the Tinsley Center.

Senior heavyweight Ricky Caruso (Waltham, Mass.) provided the only scoring for the Bears (1-5) who will take on Trinity College in the consolation round at noon.

Caruso recorded a first period pin (2:35) in the final bout of the match to up his record on the season to 23-3 (.885).
