SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University wrestling team dropped a 25-19 decision to host AIC on Saturday afternoon in Springfield.

AIC improves to 3-0 in dual meet competition while Bridgewater falls to 1-4.

The visiting Bears received wins from freshman Paul Sughrue (Methuen, Mass.), junior Matthew Armano (Methuen, Mass.), sophomores Anthony Cote (Danbury, Conn.) and Casey Enderlin(Pasco, Wash.), and senior Ricky Caruso (Waltham, Mass.).

Sughrue posted a 12-7 decision at 133, while Armano earned an 8-0 major decision at 157.  Cote also won by decision, 7-4, at 174 while Enderlin won by forfeit at 184.  Caruso capped off the match with a 5-0 victory in the battle of the heavyweights.

In upcoming action, the Bears travel to the College of Mount Saint Vincent Invitational on Saturday.
