2012-2013 Pilgrim Wrestling League All-Star Team (PDF)

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – A pair of Bridgewater State University wrestlers have been selected to the 2012-2013 Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) All-Star Team which was announced by PWL Director of Media Relations, Jon Egan.

Senior Sean Fields (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior TJ Vallee (Augusta, Maine) were each named to the All-PWL Second Team.  Both Fields and Vallee are making their first appearance on the PWL All-Star Team.  Vallee was an honorable mention selection a year ago.

Fields posted a record of 18-9(.667) with 54 takedowns, 23 escapes and one pin wrestling out of the 157-pound weight class in 2012-2013.  He led the Bears in wins and takedowns and tied for third in escapes.  Fields wraps up a four-year career at Bridgewater State with 48 victories, 145 takedowns, 15 reversals, 11 near falls and 98 escapes.

In 17 bouts this season, Vallee went 14-3 (.824) competing at the 197-pound weight class.  He also notched 17 takedowns, three near falls, four escapes and a team-leading five pins.   Vallee has produced an impressive record of 38-13 (.745) as well as 50 takedowns, 36 escapes and 12 pins over his first three seasons with the Bears.
