BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior Sean Fields has been named the Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) Co-Wrestler of the Week. Fields shares the weekly honor along with Johnson and Wales University senior Colin Lenhardt.

Fields posted his fourth straight win as he helped the Bears capture their first dual meet victory of the season, a 27-20 triumph over the Plymouth State University last Friday. The Norwalk, Connecticut native moved up a weight class to 165 as he defeated the Panthers' James Matlack by a medical forfeit.

Competing predominantly out of the 157-pound weight class, Fields is currently 7-6 on the season with 27 takedowns, three reversals, eight escapes and one pin.  He leads the team in both wins and takedowns.

In four seasons with the Bears, Fields has posted 37 career victories as well as 118 takedowns, 15 reversals and 83 escapes.

The Bridgewater State wrestling team is currently sporting a 1-5 dual meet record on the season with a 0-2 mark in the PWL.  In upcoming action, the Bears travel to Riverdale, New York on Saturday, January 19th for the Mount Saint Vincent Invitational.
