NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Junior TJ Vallee (Augusta, Maine) posted a 3-0 record while senior Sean Fields (Norwalk, Conn.) went 2-0 to lead the Bridgewater State University wrestling team at a quad meet hosted by Coast Guard Academy on Saturday.

The Bears (2-11) dropped a close 26-24 decision to host Coast Guard followed by a 49-6 setback to Rhode Island College and a 36-18 loss to Trinity College. 

Vallee, who was hampered by injuries earlier this season, earned a win by fall over Jacob Balchikonis of Coast Guard in addition to a pair of forfeit victories while competing out of the 197-pound weight class.  Ranked sixth in the latest New England Wrestling Associations (NEWA) individual rankings, Vallee improves his record on the season to 12-1 with three pins.

The 157-pound Fields improved to 16-7 on the season with his two wins.  He decision Coast Guard's Steve Kidwell by score of 7-3 and posted a forfeit victory against Trinity.
