BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University sophomore heavyweight Ricky Caruso has been selected as the Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) Wrestler of the Week.

Caruso captured the heavyweight title at the Roger Williams Invitational this past weekend.  The Waltham, Massachusetts product went 4-0 at the tournament with one pin.  He defeated Humphrey Swift of Johnson and Wales University, 4-3, in the championship round.

Bridgewater State placed sixth in the team standings at the tournament.

Caruso is undefeated through his first five bouts this season.  He and his teammates will compete in the Olivet College Comet Duals on Saturday in Olivet, Michigan.
