LA CROSSE, Wisc. -- Bridgewater State University junior heavyweight Patrick Walsh (Stoughton, Mass.) dropped a pair of matches at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse on Friday.
Walsh dropped an 8-2 decision to seventh-seeded Logan Renas of Olivet College in the opening round and then bowed out of the tournament with a 7-4 loss to fellow unseeded wrestler Conner Herman of Luther College.
Walsh, the New England Wresling Association (NEWA) heavyweight champion, ends the season with an overall record of 15-3.
