BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University wrestling team posted a 30-3 victory over New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) foe Norwich University on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Gymnasium.

Bridgewater improves to 3-8 on the season in dual matches while Norwich slips to 0-2.

The Bears won nine of the ten bouts with freshman George Cowan (South Easton, Mass.) and senior Michael Fenner (Bergenfield, N.J.) leading the way with a pair of pins at 141 and 184, respectively.

Sophomore Jonathan Murray (Bay Shore, N.Y.) added a 15-0 technical fall victory at the 125-pound weight class, while senior Andrew Frazer (West Hartford, Conn.) posted an 11-0 major decision triumph at 197.

Sophomore Dave Pinto (Milford, Mass.) picked up the Cadets' lone win of the afternoon at 157 as he posted a 4-2 decision.

In upcoming action, both teams will compete in the NEWA Dual Meet Tournament on Sunday, January 22nd at Springfield College.
