BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - In their final dual meet of the season, the Bridgewater State College wrestling team dropped three matches at a quad meet hosted by Trinity College on Friday afternoon.
The Bears opened the quad with a 30-14 loss to host Trinity. Bridgewater then dropped a 31-14 decision to AIC and wrapped up the day with a 28-24 loss to Rhode Island College.
Seniors Frank Cammisa (Danbury, CT) and John Marsh (New Bedford, MA) each won a pair of matches on the afternoon against Trinity and RIC. Neither wrestler competed against AIC. Cammisa now has 105 wins in his career, while Marsh eclipsed the 100-win plateau as he upped his career total to 101 victories.
Sophomore Andrew Frazer (West Hartford, CT) posted win by falls in the matches against AIC and Rhode Island College. Frazer, who did not wrestle against Trinity, notched a second period pin versus his opponent from AIC and a first period pin against RIC.
With the three losses, the Bears finish the season with a 6-13 dual meet record. Bridgewater State will compete in the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Championships next weekend at Western New England College.
