PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- The Bridgewater State College Bears posted a 1-2 record at the Plymouth State wrestling quad on Sunday afternoon in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
Bridgewater State knocked off host Plymouth State, 23-18, in their opening match of the day. The Bears then dropped a 36-13 decision to Williams College before rounding out the quad with a 24-17 loss to Norwich University.
The Bears are now 4-6 in dual meet competition on the season.
Seniors Frank Cammisa (Danbury, CT) and John Marsh (New Bedford, MA), and junior Zachary Bates (Leyden, MA) all went undefeated on the afternoon.
Cammisa went 3-0 in the 157-pound weight class with an 8-0 win over Plymouth's Mike Willey, a 4-0 decision over Carl Breitenstein of Williams and a win by forfeit against Norwich.
Competing at 149, Marsh posted a 16-8 major decision victory against Plymouth State's Femi Wheeler and a 12-6 win over Joey Eon of Norwich. Marsh, who is now 22-1 on the season, did not wrestle in the match with Williams.
The 174-pound Bates also finished 3-0 as he pinned Plymouth State's Nick Lanchester and posted a 21-9 major decision win over Zeb Levine of Williams as well as a 13-5 decision versus Zach Wetzel of Norwich.
