NCAA Division III Wrestling Tournament Brackets Announced

NCAA Division Wrestling Tournament Brackets - 149 & 157

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The 2010 NCAA Division III Wrestling Tournament brackets have been released and Bridgewater State College seniors John Marsh and Frank Cammisa are seeded sixth and eighth in their respective weight class.

The NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships will take place on March 5th and 6th at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cesar Rapids, Iowa.

Marsh enters the tournament with an impressive overall record of 31-1 wrestling out of the 149-pound weight class.  The New Bedford, Massachusetts native and number six seed will take on junior Isaiah Britton (Williamsport, PA) of Lycoming College in their opening round match.  Britton is 23-3 on the season.

Marsh, who has won 28 straight bouts, is competing in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time in his career as he also qualified as a wild card selection at 141 during his sophomore season of 2006-2007.

A native of Danbury, Connecticut, Cammisa is making his fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament and first at the 157-pound weight class.  Seeded eighth, Cammisa will take on junior Matt Magill (Malvern, PA) of New York University in their first round match.

Cammisa comes into the tournament with a record of 28-6 on the season while Magill is 24-10.  The two grapplers have in fact wrestled once before this year, as Cammisa posted a 3-2 win over Magill in a tri-match held at Bridgewater State on January 9th.

Cammisa is tied for third place on the Bears' career wins list with 110 victories, while Marsh is fifth all-time with 106.
