BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College junior Frank Cammisa has been selected as the Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) Wrestler of the Week.

A native of Danbury, Connecticut, Cammisa captured the 149-pound title at the Doug Parker Invitational hosted by Springfield College this past weekend.  He was a perfect 5-0 in the tournament with three pins and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Cammisa is 9-0 on the season wrestling exclusively out of the 149-pound weight class.  He is presently tied for first in the PWL in winning percentage (1.000) and is tied for third in pins with six.

The top ranked 149-pound wrestler in the latest New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) individual rankings, Cammisa is looking to make his third straight trip to the NCAA Division III Championships this season.  He captured the 149-pound NEWA title and advanced to the national tournament in each of his first two seasons.
