BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's lacrosse student-athletes and coaching staff took a break out of their playing and practice schedule to volunteer at a local food pantry during the Bears' Spring Break trip to Puerto Rico last week.

The Bears volunteered their time at the Banco de Alimentos in Carolina, Puerto Rico, the only food pantry in the commonwealth.

The team sorted pallets of food into categories such as grains, beverages, snacks, etc. and put together boxes for the food to be distributed. The Bears also performed various cleaning chores around the facility.
