2008 ECAC Women's Lacrosse Division III New England Tournament Bracket

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College women's lacrosse team has been selected to compete in the 2008 ECAC Women's Lacrosse Division III New England Tournament which gets underway on Wednesday, May 6th. 

The Bears, who are the top seed in the seven-team tournament, will receive a first round bye and will host the semifinals and championship game on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th.

Bridgewater is currently 14-4 on the season.  The Bears went undefeated in New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) play with a perfect 7-0 mark. BSC then went on to capture the NEWLA Tournament title with a 22-8 semifinal win over Westfield State and a 19-5 championship game victory over Castleton State.

Roger Williams University (13-4) is seeded second in the tournament followed by #3 Western New England College (14-5), #4 Keene State College (12-7), #5 Norwich University (11-4), #6 Castleton State College (11-6) and #7 Worcester State College (9-5).

First round play will get underway on Wednesday afternoon.  Roger Williams will play host to Worcester State at 3:30, WNEC is home against Castleton State also at 3:30 and Keene State hosts Norwich at 4 PM.
