Sydney Bradbury to Play in NEWBA Senior All-Star Game

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior guard Sydney Bradbury has been selected to play in the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Game to be held on Sunday, March 24th at Tufts University. Game time is slated for 1:00 PM.

Players from around the region were nominated for the honor by their coaches and Sports Information Directors. Coaches then selected the 20 participants through a vote.

Bradbury averaged a career-high 14.3 points this season to go along with 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 24 games. The East Bridgewater, Massachusetts product also shot 35.8% (83-232) from the floor and 86.5% (32-37) at the free throw line. Her 83 three-pointers set the Bears' single-season record.

Bradbury led the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in made three-pointers and ranked fourth in three-points shootng percentage as well as tenth in scoring.

On a national level, Bradbury led all of Division III in made three-pointers per game (3.46).

In 98 games over four seasons at Bridgewater State, Bradbury accumulated 1,076 points, 358 rebounds, 231 assists, 118 steals, and 22 blocked shots. She is second all-time in program history in made three-pointers (205), third in free throw shooting percentage (77.0%) and 13th in points.

Bradbury is one of three players from the MASCAC competing in the NEWBA Senior All-Star Game. She is joined by Gwendolyn Carpenter and Flannery O'Connor of Framingham State University.
