BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior guard Kylee Piche has been selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Team of the Week.
A native of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Piche averaged 14.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in a perfect 2-0 MASCAC week for the Bears while shooting 66.7% (12-18) from the floor.
Piche tallied 17 points, four rebounds and six assists in a 90-32 win over Fitchburg State, and 12 points, one rebounds, five assists, three steals and a blocked shot in a 73-55 victory over MCLA.
Through 25 games this season (all starts), Piche is averaging 8.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting 45.5% (92-202) from the floor. She is currently seventh among the MASCAC leaders in field goal percentage.
In 75 games over three seasons with the Bears, Piche has amassed 559 points, 268 rebounds, 167 assists, 13 blocks and 107 steals.
The BSU women's basketball team is currently 17-5 on the season and 8-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon for a two o'clock MASCAC game with the Owls.
