BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior guard Kylee Piche has been selected to play in the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Game to be held on Sunday, March 26th at Smith College. Game time is slated for 1:00 PM.
Players from around the region were nominated for the honor by their coaches and Sports Information Directors. Coaches then selected the 20 participants through a vote.
Piche averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 28 games this season. The Bridgewater, Massachusetts product also shot 44.6% (99-222) from the floor.
Piche finished the year ranked sixth among the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) leaders in field goal percentage. She helped the Bears (21-7) capture both the MASCAC regular season and tournament titles, and advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 11th time in program history.
In 78 games over three seasons at Bridgewater State, Piche accumulated 572 points, 276 rebounds, 172 assists, 110 steals, and 14 blocked shots.
Piche is one of just two players from the MASCAC competing in the NEWBA Senior All-Star Game. She is joined by classmate Erin Gallella of Worcester State University.
