BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior forward Colleen Feeney has been named the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This marks the sixth time this season and ninth time in the last two years that Feeney has earned conference player of the week honors.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Feeney sparked the Bears to a perfect 2-0 mark last week as she averaged 25.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots in MASCAC wins over Westfield State and Framingham State.

Feeney poured in 27 points, pulled down 19 rebounds and blocked 3 shots in BSC's 58-47 victory at home over Westfield.  She then posted her second double-double of the week and 18th of the season as she scored 24 points (on 8 of 11 shooting) to go along with 11 boards in the Bears' 71-43 win on the road at Framingham.

Through 20 games this season, Feeney currently either leads the MASCAC or is second in the conference in seven different categories.  She is atop the MASCAC leaderboard in scoring (20.9 ppg), rebounding (13.1 rpg), field goal percentage (.586), blocked shots (2.95 bpg) and defensive rebounding (9.45 rpg), and is second in free throw percentage (.718) and offensive rebounding (3.65 rpg).

Bridgewater heads into Tuesday night's home contest against MCLA with an overall record of 16-4 which includes a 7-1 conference mark. With four games remaining in the regular season, the Bears are presently a half game ahead of Salem State (6-1) in the MASCAC standings and a full game up on third place Fitchburg State (6-2).
