BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior forward Colleen Feeney was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for her performance during the week of November 26th to December 2nd.
Feeney averaged 24 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocked shots a game while shooting 60-percent from the floor as she led the Bears to a pair of wins over Curry College and Babson College.
A D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region First Team selection last season, Feeney poured in 25 points on 9 of 12 shooting and pulled down 11 boards in BSC's 83-67 win at Curry. She then scored 23 points (including the game-winning basket) to go along with 17 rebounds and 5 blocked shots as the Bears downed Babson, 67-65.
Feeney is currently averaging 19.3 points, 13.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks through eight games this season as she has helped the Bears jump out to a 7-1 record. The 7-1 mark is the best start for the BSC women's hoops program since the 1984-85 season when the Bears won 26 of their first 27 games and finished with a 26-2 record.
With 16 games remaining in the regular season, Feeney has 873 points in her collegiate career which includes two seasons at Rhode Island College.
