Lindsey Couturier was named the head coach of the Bridgewater State University softball program in May of 2017. Through her first four seasons as the Bears' skipper, Couturier has guided her teams to an overall record of 59-59-1 including a 32-15-1 mark against Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) opponents. The 2019 squad captured a share of the MASCAC regular season title, while the 2021 Bears won the MASCAC Championship Series and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Couturier, who also holds the full-time position of Coordinator for Athletic External Relations, is a 2014 graduate of the University of New Haven where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Sports Industries in 2014 .

Lindsey played four seasons as a third baseman on the Chargers’ Division II softball team as she batted .320 (200-625) in 203 career games with 24 home runs, 40 doubles and 157 runs batted in. She served as a team captain for three seasons and was selected to the Daktronics Division II All-East Region Second Team and the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team in 2014.

Couturier is New Haven’s all-time leaders in runs batted in and assists (444). She also ranks third all-time in hits, home runs and doubles. In 2014, Lindsey tied the program record for home runs in a season with 12.

Lindsey, who hails from Dighton, Massachusetts, earned her MBA with a concentration in Sports Management from Misericordia University in 2016.  While at Misericordia, she served as the Graduate Assistant Softball Coach for two seasons in 2015 and 2016.
