LeBlanc Named MASCAC Softball Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. --- Bridgewater State junior centerfielder Allie LeBlanc has been selected MASCAC Softball Player of the Week after she went 7 for 8 (.875) with eight runs scored and three runs batted while reaching base safely ten times to help pace the Bears to a perfect 4-0 mark and remain unbeaten in conference play at 10-0.

LeBlanc, a native of Somerset, Mass, went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, and hit by a pitch, five runs scored and two RBIs in the Bears MASCAC win over Mass Maritime last Tuesday. She then went 4-for-5 with a double and three runs scored as Bridgewater State swept a twinbill with Westfield State in a match up of conference unbeatens on Saturday.

LeBlanc is currently batting .420 with 1 home run and 18 RBIs to go along with a .557 slugging percentage. LeBlanc ranks second in the MASCAC in batting average, slugging, third in on base percentage (.465), fifth in hits (37), and sixth in total bases (49).

The Bears sit at 20-14 with a perfect 12-0 record in the MASCAC. BSC closes out its season visiting Southern Maine at 3:30 P.M on Thursday and hosting MCLA on Saturday at noon.
