BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Braden Boucher has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Boucher placed 18th in his collegiate debut at the 8th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season Opener held this past weekend at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The Lowell, Massachusetts product covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 17:55.5 as he helped the Bears finish fourth in the team standings at the meet.

Boucher and the BSU men's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, September 17th when the Bears travel to Dartmouth, Massachusetts for the 49th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
