BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fifth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Trevor Wysong has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) GEICO Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. GEICO is the proud sponsor of the MASCAC weekly awards program.

Wysong captured the individual title at the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Championships held this past Saturday at Mount Greylock High School in Williamstown. The Taunton, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 27:17.22 as he outdistanced a field of 87 harriers. His performance also earned him MASCAC Runner of the Year and All-MASCAC honors.

Wysong also garnered MASCAC Runner of The Week honors back on September 3rd, September 17th, October 8th, and October 15th for his performances at the season-opening Roger Williams Invitational, the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, the NEICAAA Championships, and the Western New England Invitational. .

Following a weekend off, Wysong and his teammates will compete at the Division III New England Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday, November 10th.
