BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Andy Sukeforth has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week. Sukeforth shares the honor along with MCLA junior Anthony Cancilla.
Sukeforth posted a runner-up individual finish for the Bears at the Roger Williams Invitational this past weekend. The Middleboro, Massachusetts native covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 16:48 as he helped the squad capture the team championship.
Sukeforth was one of four Bears to place in the top five at the meet as teammates Stephen Wahome (Senior; Lowell, Mass.), Dallas O'Brien (Sophomore; Mansfield, Mass.) and David Phipps (Senior; Attleboro, Mass.) finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Next weekend, Sukeforth and the BSU men’s cross country team will compete at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
