WATERFORD, Conn. – The Bridgewater State University men's cross country team placed 13th at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday.

Senior David Phipps (Attleboro, Mass.) paced Bridgewater with a 19th place showing as he covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:58.

Junior Andy Sukeforth (Middleboro, Mass.) was next across the line for the Bears as she finished 36th in a time of 26:23. Sophomore Dallas O'Brien (Mansfield, Mass.) followed 55th overall with a time of 26:39.

Division I University of Connecticut captured the team title followed by host Conn. College in second place and Keene State in third.

After a week off, Bridgewater will compete at the MASCAC/Alliance Championships hosted by Westfield State University on October 27th.
