Cross Country Teams Compete at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University cross country teams competed at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) led the BSU women's team to a 23rd place showing as she covered the 5k layout with a sixth place time of 18:38.34.   Senior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) was next across the line for the Bears as she placed 77th with a time of 20:28.12.

MIT captured the team title followed by Coast Guard and Wellesley in the team standings.

On the men's side, junior David Phipps (Attleboro, Mass.) finished 17th with a time of 25:31.34 over the 8-kilometer course.  Senior David Granato (Upton, Mass.) was the next Bear to finish as he posted a time of 27:03.85 to grab 75th place.

MIT also captured the men's team title while Brandeis placed second and Bentley third. The Bridgewater men finished 16th overall in the team standings.
