BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State College sophomore Bill Taft has been selected as the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

A native of Hanson, Massachusetts, Taft was the 12th runner across the finish line as he led the BSC men's cross country team to a seventh place showing at the New England Alliance Championships on Saturday at Keene State.

Taft, who earned All-New England Alliance honors, covered the five-mile course in a time of 27:26 as he was the top MASCAC runner at the meet.

Taft was also named MASCAC Runner of the Week back on September 14th as he placed second at the season-opening Roger Williams Invitational.
