HANOVER, Ind. -- Bridgewater State College senior Avery Bouchard placed 150th at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship meet held this afternoon at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.
Bouchard, who was making his second appearance at the national championship meet and first since 2005, posted a time of 25:53.27 over the 8k course.
The winner of the meet was Peter Kosgei of Hamilton College who topped the field with a time of 24:22.03. Kosei was more than ten seconds faster than Willy Kaul of Wisconsin-Oshkosh who posted a time of 24:32.7.
A native of Fall River, Massachusetts, Bouchard qualified as an individual competitor based on his finish at last Saturday's New England Regional held in Williamstown, Mass. He crossed the finish line in 17th place after completing the 8,000-meter course in a time of.26:40.0. Bouchard received All-New England recognition for placing among the top 35 finishers.
