WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Senior Avery Bouchard (Fall River, MA) posted an outstanding third place finish at the highly competitive Williams College Purple Valley Classic this afternoon in Williamstown.
Bouchard's time of 26:29 helped the Bears capture an 11th place finish in the 8K race. Edgar Kosgey of Williams won the meet with a time of 25:48, while the Ephs also captured the team title. Amherst College and Dartmouth College rounded out the top three.
Next across the line for the Bears was sophomore Ryan D'Arcangelo (Norfolk, MA) who finished 77th with a time of 28:31. He was followed by freshman David Granato (Upton, MA) who placed 95th with a time of 28:53.
Senior Tim Barrow (Woburn, MA), freshman Jeff Carroll (Abington, MA) and freshman Stephen Negus (Pembroke, MA) rounded out the remaining BSC runners. Barrow posted a time of 30:33, while Carroll finished at 31:52 and Negus at 33:12.
