BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University graduate student Corey Stalters has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Stalters earned All-New England honors in the shot put this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships held at The Track at New Balance. The Norton, Massachusetts native placed third in the event with a toss of 51 feet, 11.75 inches (15.84m).

Stalters currently ranks 39th in all of Division III in the shot put and third in the East Region.

The MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor marks the 11th of Stalter's career and third indoor distinction.

Qualifying members of the BSU men's track & field team with compete on Friday and Saturday at the NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships also held at The Track at New Balance. Select Bears may compete at the Tufts Qualifying Meet on Saturday.
