BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Jordan Rivera-Silva has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Rivera-Silva placed third in the 200-meter dash with a PR of 22.33 seconds, and finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (50.29), this past weekend at the Tufts University Sunshine Classic. The Attleboro, Massachusetts native helped the Bears finished third in the team standings at the meet.

Rivera-Silva, who also earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors three times during the indoor season, currently ranks 14th in the East Region in the 200 and 17th in the 400.

The BSU outdoor track & field teams travel to Westfield State University on Friday for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships.
