BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Chigozie Adigwe has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Adigwe placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.82 seconds this past weekend at the Amherst Spring Fling. The Lowell, Massachusetts product also finished 28th in the 100-meter dash (11.51) and 37th in the 200-meter dash (23.53) .

Adigwe currently ranks 27th in all of Division III in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the East Region.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the ninth of Adigwe's career and seventh outdoor distinction.

The BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete on Friday and Saturday at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College.
