BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week and fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Corey Stalters has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Stalters placed third and earned All-New England honors in the javelin with a BSU record-setting toss of 218 feet, 11 inches (66.74m) this past weekend at the NEICAAA Championships held at Bryant University. The top Division III student-athlete in the event, Stalters smashed his own school mark of 207 feet, four inches (63.19m) set earlier this season at the MASCAC Championships.

A native of Norton, Massachusetts, Stalters currently ranks third in all of Division III in the javelin.

Several members of the BSU track and field teams will compete on Thursday at the MIT Final Qualifier.
