BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fifth straight week and sixth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Chigozie Adigwe has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Adigwe placed ninth in the 110-meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 15.18 seconds this past weekend at the NEICAAA Championships hosted by Bryant University.

Adigwe currently ranks 35th in all of Division III in the 110 hurdles.

The MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor marks the ninth of the 2021-2022 academic year for Adigwe who also earned the accolade three times during the indoor track & field season.

Several members of the BSU track and field teams will compete on Thursday at the MIT Final Qualifier.
