BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Joshua Higgins has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Higgins leapt into the top 20 in all of Division III in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 1:53.84 this past weekend at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet. The Fitchburg, Massachusetts placed sixth in a very competitive field at the meet.

Higgins qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships which will be held later this week at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is seeded 20th in the 800.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 14th of Higgins' career including eleven indoor distinctions.
