BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Exondus Barnes has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Barnes won the long jump this past weekend at the Plymouth State Panther Invitational with a leap of 21 feet, 4.75 inches (6.52m). The East Providence, Rhode Island product also placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of five feet, 10.75 inches (1.80m) as he helped the Bears finished second in the team standings at the meet.

Barnes currently ranks 11th in New England in the long jump and 13th in the high jump.

The BSU indoor track & field teams are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 15) when they compete at the MASCAC Championships held at Smith College.
