NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College men's outdoor track and field team placed third at the MASCAC Championships with a total of 81 points.
Senior Kevin White (Swansea, MA) and sophomore Jeff Sousa (North Dighton, MA) captured individual event titles for the Bears. White took home top conference honors in the 110-meter hurdles (15.49 seconds), while Sousa was the first MASCAC runner to cross the finish line in the 10,000-meter run (34:51.63).
Fitchburg State (217 pts) edged Westfield State (216 pts) by one point to claim the team championship. Bridgewater, Worcester State (64 pts), Mass. Maritime Academy (31 pts) and Salem State (10 pts) rounded out the scoring.
