BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman Matthew Jo has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Jo captured top honors in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:10.07 as the Bears closed out the dual meet schedule this past weekend with a decisive 168-59 victory over Little East foe Plymouth State University. The Tewksbury, Massachusetts native also swam the anchor freestyle leg (24.16) on the winning 200 medley relay squad which posted a time of 1:50.58.

The Little East Rookie of the Week honor marks the third of Jo's career.

The BSU swimming and diving teams are off untill the Little East Conference Championships. The four-day meet will open with the three-meter diving competition on Thursday, February 13th at Babson College. The final three days of the championship meet will take place at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
