BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman Aaron Fowler has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Swimmer and Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

A native of Brookline, Massachusetts, Fowler captured top honors in the 200 individual medley (2:02.87) and placed second in both the 200 freestyle (1:51.85) and 100 backstroke (57.28) in the Bears' setback to Division II Bentley University. He also posted a backstroke split of 25.67 seconds on the second place 200 medley relay (1:42.65) in the meet with the Falcons.

Against Babson College, Fowler placed second in the 200 butterfly with a collegiate-best time of 1:59.92 and helped the Bears place second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.83) and take third in the 200 medley relay (1:40.63).

Fowler is currently tied for 14th in all of Division III in the 50 butterfly. He also earned Little East Swimmer of the Week honors on October 17th, November 6th, December 4th and January 22nd, and LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week accolades on October 30th, November 6th, December 4th and January 22nd.

The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in the pool on Friday evening when the Bears host Little East rival Eastern Connecticut State University at five o'clock.
