BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Aaron Fowler has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Swimmer and Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Fowler recorded three individual victories to lead the Bears to a tri-meet sweep of Brandeis University and Little East rival Keene State College this past weekend at the Brandeis Linsey Pool. The Brookline, Massachusetts product posted winning times of 24.94 seconds in the 50 backstroke, 21.94 seconds in the 50 freestyle and 22.88 seconds in the 50 butterfly. He also swam the butterfly leg (22.81) on BSU's winning 200 medley relay squad (1:39.82).

Fowler is currently tied for 13th in all of Division III in the 50 butterfly. He also earned Little East Swimmer of the Week honors on October 17th, November 6th and December 4th, and LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week accolades on October 30th, November 6th and December 4th.

The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in the pool on Thurday night when the Bears travel to Bentley University for a six o'clock meet with the Division II Falcons.
