BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Aaron Fowler has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Swimmer and Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Fowler led the way for Bridgewater State against Wheaton College this past weekend as he captured top honors in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:02.12 while placing second in the 100 freestyle (48.89) and third in the 200 butterfly (2:08.60 ). The Brookline, Massachusetts native also swam a leg on the Bears' second-place 200 freestyle relay squad which posted a time of 1:31.76.

Fowler is currently ranked sixth in all of Division III in the 50 butterfly and 42nd in the 50 freestyle. He also earned Little East Swimmer of the Week honors on October 17th and LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week accolades on October 30th.

The BSU swimming and diving teams are back in action on Friday evening as the Bears entertain Roger Williams University at five o'clock.
