BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team competed against Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Moriarty Pool.
The Bears (4-6) dropped a 173-54 decision to the Division II Falcons (10-0).
BSU junior Luc Durand (Marblehead, Mass.) captured top honors in the 1,000 freestyle with a season-best time of 10:38.18.
Junior Cooper Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.) placed second in the 200 freestyle with a career-best time of 1:55.60.
Sophomore Chase Simao (Stonington, Conn.) finished second in the 200 individual medley with a season-best time of 2:05.82.
The foursome of freshmen Brady Callahan (Taunton, Mass.), Ryan McKenzie (Charlton, Mass.) and Richard Palanza (Mansfield, Mass.), and junior Brennan Gravanda (Wilbraham, Mass.) posted a second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.87.
Graduate student Shawn Driscoll-Gomez (Medford, Mass.) earned second place points in the one-meter diving competition (105.20 pts.).
The BSU swimming and diving teams are back in action on Saturday afternoon as the Bears entertain Babson College at 1:30.
