Men's Swimming & Diving Wins Three Events in 110-95 Setback to Clark

WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team dropped a 110-85 decision to Clark University on Saturday afternoon at the Kneller Pool.

Sophomore Chase Simao (Stonington, Conn.) was the first to touch the wall in the 1,000 freestyle as he posted a time of 10:48.61.

Freshman Brady Callahan (Taunton, Mass.) picked up his first collegiate individual win as he captured top honors in the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.40 seconds.

The BSU foursome of senior Chris Anastasiades (Wakefield, Mass.), freshman Ryan McKenzie (Charlton, Mass.), senior Eric Silva (Dighton, Mass.) and junior Joseph Pervier (Baldwinville, Mass.) closed out the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.40).

The Bears (2-2) placed first in three of the 11 events.

Next Saturday afternoon, the Bears will travel to Wheaton College for a one o'clock tri-meet with the host Lyons and Gordon College
