Valentin is a 2016 graduate of Fitchburg State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science with a concentration in clinical physiology. While at Fitchburg State, she competed on the field hockey team and appeared in 47 games (24 starts) as a four-year goalkeeper. Valentin won 11 games, including three shutouts, and posted a career 2.46 goals against average as well as a .781 save percentage. The Brockton, Massachusetts native also played in 20 games over two seasons on the Falcons' softball team.

In May of 2019, Valentin earned a master's degree in sports management with a concentartion in athletic administration from Lasell College. She is also pursuing her athletic directing certification and license with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as well as a strength and conditioning certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Valentin is currently interning with the Brockton High School Athletics Department as an athletic director and administrative intern. She also coached JV softball at Lunenberg High School in the spring of 2016 and volunteered as the strength coach for the Brockton High School field hockey team in the fall of that same year. 

Valentin has volunteered at the South Shore Field Hockey Summer Tournament since 2014. She also also volunteered her time at the Field Hockey May Clinics from 2012 to 2015 and the Brockton After Dark Program from 2014 to 2016.
