BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior forward Bailey Turner and freshman goalkeeper Madelyne Guidaboni were both honored as the 2022 Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey award winners were announced today by LEC Associate Commissioner, Darryl Konicki.

Turner was selected to All-Little East Third Team, while Guidaboni was named as the Bears’ recipient of the Twelfth Player Award.

Turner scored three goals and added a pair of assists in 16 games during the 2022 campaign. The Dedham, Massachusetts product tied for the team lead in scoring with eight points.

In 49 career games over three seasons of collegiate field hockey, including one season at Bryn Mawr College, Turner amassed nine goals and four assists for 22 points. Two of her nine career goals were game-winners and she also added a defensive save.

Guidaboni appeared in 11 games and made ten starts between the pipes for the Bears during her first season of collegiate competition. The Hanson, Massachusetts native notched a pair of shutouts and recorded 70 saves with a .735 save percentage to go along with a 2.23 goals against average in 619 minutes (619:18) of action. Guidaboni tied for fourth among the Little East leaders in shutouts and ranked seventh in both goals against average and save percentage.

The Twelfth Player Award is presented to a student-athlete in recognition of their positive contributions to the team both on and off the field, who brings forth their best effort in competition, practice and other team activities that positively contribute to the success of the program. This is the second year that the Little East has presented the award.
